SUMMARY:SRI: Beyond Breathwork
DESCRIPTION:Somato Respiratory Integration • An Experiential Workshop Exploring Stages 1–3 • For the person who has it together—but still feels stuck\nWhat if the thing you’re trying to change is something your body has been trying to show you all along?\nYou can have a good life and still feel stuck.\nYou can be successful, self-aware, and doing “all the right things” while your body continues to carry tension, your mind refuses to slow down, or the same patterns keep showing up in your life.\nSometimes the first step isn’t figuring out how to change it.\nSometimes it’s being with your body at such a focused level that it can shift itself.\nWhat is SRI?\nSomato Respiratory Integration (SRI) is an experiential practice that uses breath, movement, touch, and focused awareness to help you connect more deeply with what is happening in your body in the present moment. This helps you recognize patterns that may be operating beneath your conscious awareness—and begin creating a different response to them.\nSome shifts may include stress reduction, emotional regulation, mental clarity and increased mind-body connection.\nHow is SRI different than Breathwork?\n\n Embodied Awareness vs. Shifting Awareness: Instead of using the breath to force the body into a relaxed state, SRI uses breath, touch, and movement to meet the body precisely where it is—even if that state is tension, disconnect, or pain. Often when such presence is brought to what actually is—rather than immediately trying to fix, suppress, or move past it—it has a chance to change itself.\n Self-Sourced Resolution: Because SRI relies on internal observation rather than guided imagery or hyperventilation-induced emotional releases, it teaches the nervous system to trust its own innate wisdom and timing.\n Integration Over Modulation: Rather than trying to change an “unpleasant” sensation into a “pleasant” one, SRI helps you connect to the somatic energy locked within that sensation so it can be transformed and integrated into your overall growth.\n\nThis experience may be especially meaningful if…\n\n Your mind is constantly going, even when your life is relatively calm.\n You understand your patterns intellectually but still find yourself repeating them.\n You experience tension, discomfort, or pain that doesn’t seem to have an obvious explanation.\n You tend to push through rather than stop and feel what’s actually happening.\n You feel like you’re always “on”.\n Something in your life feels stuck, even though from the outside everything looks fine.\n You want more energy, freedom, and choice in how you respond to life—not simply another way to manage stress.\n\nThis workshop will give you practical tools to take home with you.\nYou’ll actually practice the SRI techniques with guidance—not simply hear about them—and leave with tools you can continue using whenever you need them. Unlike a retreat that can feel removed from everyday life, SRI is something you can continue practicing in the middle of your actual life.\nOver time, these practices can help you recognize familiar stress patterns sooner, shift how you respond to them, and create more choice in how you experience your body, your emotions, and your life.\nWhat to Expect:\nThis is a 3-hour, highly experiential workshop, hosted in-person.\nThis is a group setting to accentuate healing, but you will have lots of 1:1 support from the doctor. Thus, spots are intentionally limited.\nWe’ll spend much of the workshop seated or lying on the floor, so please come prepared to get comfortable.\nPlease bring:\n\n 1–2 yoga mats\n Comfortable clothing\n A small blanket and/or pillow if you’d like additional support\n Water bottle & snacks if you desire\n\nNo previous SRI or breathwork experience is required.\nCoffee, tea, and water will be provided at breaks.\nThis workshop will focus specifically on Stages 1–3. Additional stages will be explored in future workshops.\nSpace is intentionally limited. Reserve your spot while registration is open.\n
