Asheville Drag Brunch presents The Brunch of Oz

“There’s no place like home…” because home is where our community shines the brightest! Join us on Saturday, November 16th at Banks Ave. Bar at 11:00 a.m. for an enchanting Oz-themed drag brunch that celebrates the magic of togetherness. Tickets are “pay what you can” (minimum $10) and are available at www.AshevilleDragBrunch.com. Enjoy delicious delights from Biscuit Head South and proceeds will benefit Cornbread & Roses.

Hosted by our rainbow glitter goddess, Katarina Synclaire this event promises bold performances, vibrant looks, and pure joy to help us lift each other up as we rebuild our beloved “Emerald City.” So, whether you’re a Dorothy finding your way, a Scarecrow showing your smarts, or a Lion leading with courage, come be a part of the magic! This celebration is for everyone, no matter what path you’re on, because there’s truly no place like our community.

Banks Ave. Bar is the perfect venue for this fabulous event.

It offers a full-service bar with various drink options, including mimosas. The popular Biscuit Head South will cater brunch. This brunch promises to be an unforgettable experience with the best drag queen entertainment that will leave you mesmerized.

Cornbread & Roses, located in Sylva, started in 2021 when community members noticed a lack of inclusive services in the rural area known as “West of Asheville.” In August 2022, queer and allied individuals founded the nonprofit Cornbread & Roses Community Counseling (CBRCC) to address the gaps in services like mental health care, food security, and community building. CBRCC believes  everyone deserves to have their basic needs met and access to healing support, regardless of income, insurance, or location.
