Taking place on June 3 at the Best Buy Metals Pavilion inside HomeTrust Park, this special gathering combines volunteerism, networking, and community service into one memorable evening.

Supporting Veterans in Our Community

For this first annual event, Best Buy Metals and Southeastern Tile Connection are partnering with ABCCM (Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry) and Veterans Services of the Carolinas. These organizations work tirelessly to help veterans overcome challenges and rebuild their lives.

Many veterans entering these programs arrive with very few personal belongings. A simple backpack filled with essential items can provide both practical assistance and a sense of dignity during a difficult transition.

Operation Packs for Patriots aims to meet that need by bringing together caring community members who are willing to help.

How You Can Participate

Getting involved is easy.

Simply bring a new, empty backpack to the event.

Your backpack serves as your admission to the evening and becomes the foundation for a care package that will be distributed to a veteran through ABCCM and Veterans Services of the Carolinas.

All of the necessary supplies and essential items will be provided on-site. Attendees will work together to pack the backpacks during the event, creating meaningful care packages that will be distributed directly to veterans entering local support programs.

This hands-on experience allows participants to see firsthand how a simple act of generosity can make a lasting impact.
