City of Asheville Rebuilding the Riverfront Community Design Workshop

Rebuilding the Riverfront Community Design Workshop

Following catastrophic flooding from Tropical Storm Helene, the City of Asheville is ready to share the first look at design concepts for the French Broad Riverfront and Azalea Parks & Infrastructure recovery projects.
See how your feedback, priorities, and innovative ideas have been translated into visual plans and artistic concepts for a more resilient, vibrant riverfront.

What to Expect
This is an interactive workshop with stations showcasing visualizations of multiple proposed park layouts, infrastructure repairs, and environmental restoration
Formal presentations at the top of every hour for the French Broad Riverfront project and the half of every hour for Azalea Parks & Infrastructure project
Give feedback on the designs to help us narrow down the final plans for our city’s public spaces
The idea isn’t to pick one design over the others, but to pick the elements and features you like the best to create a single unified design to share with the community in late spring
