Founded in 1987 by Jay Mullins and a group of local business leaders, First Commercial Bank of Cullman County was established to offer a locally owned and operated banking experience focused on exceptional customer service to the residents of Cullman and its surrounding counties.

With the strong backing of our communities, we expanded our services to multiple North Alabama counties. In 2004, our institution’s name was changed to Premier Bank of the South to signal our commitment to extending our customer-centric approach to more neighboring counties. Amidst various transformations over the years, one principle has endured – prioritizing the needs of our customers and communities.
