A Little Bit About Jason...
I am Jason Pinckney, the proprietor of Tri-C Electrical Services. My Electrician journey began for me in Savannah, Ga., where I was born and raised in 1997. At the age of 18, I faced unemployment and a need for employment. It was then that my grandmother came across an advertisement in the Savannah Morning News for an electrical job involving wiring apartments. The opportunity was presented by a supervisor named John Doherty. Within a short span of a week and a half, I found myself independently wiring apartments. This experience captivated me and instilled a deep love for my work.
As time passed, my passion continued to grow, driving me to acquire more knowledge and skills. By 1999, I was operating a truck, undertaking residential wiring and service work. In 2000, I began exploring the field of commercial wiring. Collaborating with a team to wire brick and mortar stores filled me with excitement and provided ample opportunities for further learning.
In 2001, my growing interest in volunteering as a firefighter led me to pursue a position with the Savannah Fire Department. I vividly recall the moment when, on my way to an exit interview at an electrical company, I heard the news of the 9/11 attacks unfolding on the radio. This revelation intensified my awareness of the inherent dangers in my chosen profession, as reports surfaced of numerous fellow firefighters losing their lives. Rather than deterring me, this fear only heightened my sense of adrenaline. For the next seven years, I served with the fire department while also maintaining my involvement in electrical work. This period afforded me the opportunity to forge meaningful connections and engage in fulfilling experiences. In 2009, I decided to leave the Savannah Fire Department and continue working in the electrical field. I subsequently found myself in Florida, where I pursued a newfound passion for quad racing. Alongside my role as a supervisor in commercial electrical work, I undertook projects for esteemed entities such as Chase Bank, prominent restaurants, and even the Coast Guard Air Station in St. Petersburg, FL.
In 2012, I had the pleasure of meeting Heather, who would later become my spouse. During that period, I secured a position at a company specializing in Automation, where my initial role was that of a journeyman. Over time, I earned a promotion to the position of Project Supervisor. Bill Bates, the Job Supervisor, recognized potential in me and initiated discussions about obtaining certification in PLC. Recognizing the need for a more stable future for my family, my wife Heather and I made the decision to enroll me in college, where I successfully obtained my degree in Electrical Engineering. Throughout my time in college, I concurrently worked as a panel builder at CLX Engineering. Following graduation, I received an engineering position that afforded me the opportunity to travel extensively, working on automation installations in various airports and for Universal Studios. This experience allowed me to enhance my skills in design, programming, and supervision. Although I learned a great deal during this period, my true passion still lies within the realm of electrical engineering.
My spouse and I relocated to Tennessee in 2018 while I continued my employment as an Electrical Engineer. During my interactions with various individuals, I observed their dissatisfaction with companies that failed to deliver satisfactory services. Motivated by this, I pursued my LLE certification, resulting in the establishment of Tri-C Electrical Services on January 1st, 2024.
