In a temperate rain forest area such as Asheville NC, There are going to be a few rainy days. But, Don’t fret there is still plenty to see and do in Asheville on a rainy day. First of all our rainy days rock with lots of cool rain and even cooler tempertures. Like today 71/63. Gotta love the break from the Summer heat. It is refreshing!! Sometimes it’s just fun to stroll downtown, ducking in and out of shops including the Kress Emporium and The Grove Arcade. Then stroll your way back to French Broad Avenue and have a treat and a coffee at a locals favorite, The cozy Old Europe Cafe. When you’ve gotten too wet dry off and relax at Asheville’s only Salt Cave. A great experience to regenerate. You can also hop on a Lazoom Tour to have fun and keep dry for a little while.
Other rainy day options include seeing the cloudy mountain views at The Biltmore Estate. They are just breath taking. You can always spend the whole day there with plenty to do including the Land Rover Experience!. In North Asheville you can always relax after a long day over onsite craft made beer and a $3 movie at Asheville Pizza and Brewing.Â
Want to travel outside more? Visit The Pisgah Inn for amazing cloudy mountain views over lunch, Dinner or dessert. Or you can choose to see Chimney Rock State Park for amazing views, hiking, a waterfall and keep dry in their cave!! Just a short drive from Asheville about 45 minutes to an hour you can visit Franklin NC area and see their local waterfall Dry Falls. You can enjoy this spectacular falls all while staying dry under the rock overhang. Dry Falls is a must see for our area!! You can also hop on the Blue Ridge Parkway on your way back to Asheville and enjoy the views along the way.
